Ross Roberts-Thomson is a structural interventional cardiologist with expertise in complex valve assessment and transcatheter valve interventions. He studied undergraduate medicine at the University of Adelaide (Australia) and received first class honours for his Honours degree in Bachelor of Medical Science. Dr Roberts-Thomson is currently in his final year of his PhD on “Optimisation of Surgical Timing in Rheumatic Mitral Valve Disease”. His current research interests include rheumatic and complex valve disease assessment, transcatheter valve interventions, and postgraduate medical education. He has previously held many national leadership positions such as President of the Australian Medical Students Association, Co-Chair of Future Health Leaders and Australian Representative to the World Medical Council JDC. He is a Churchill Fellow and has received numerous awards including Australasian Junior Doctor of the Year and RACP Trainee of the Year.
