Omar is currently a clinical research fellow in cardiology at St Thomas’ Hospital/KCL with a special interest in primary and secondary mitral regurgitation. Prior to joining us in 2019 he was a sub-specialty trainee in interventional cardiology and completed a 6-month TAVI fellowship at Barts Heart Centre.

Omar’s current research interests include the physiology and haemodynamic effects of mitral regurgitation on clinical outcome, transcathter heart valve outcomes in patients with chronic kidney disease and cardiac multimodality imaging.
