Harminder is a Clinical Research Associate and Cardiology Registrar. He completed preclinical studies at UCL with a distinction in medical sciences and intercalated with a 1st class degree in Medical sciences with Physiology receiving special mention on the Dean’s List. His primary clinical qualification was awarded with Merit at the Univeristy of Oxford in 2011. Clinical foundation training was undertaken in the North Central London deanery with rotations at University College London Hospital and King’s College London Hospital. Since gaining a national Cardiology training number, Harminder has worked at the North Middlesex Hospital and rotated through subspecialty practice at St. Barthomolomew’s Hopsital. Harminder has gained the European Certificate in General Cardiology. Harminder’s main interests lie in valvular heart disease, and structural intervention. More recently, Harminder has completed a role as a London Advanced Cardiac CT Fellow and this has spurred his interest in integrating assessment of valvular dysfunction with multimodality imaging and image-guided intervention.  He is currently undertaking his PhD on non-invasive pressure estimation to better understand and quantify the increased burden placed on the heart by dysfunctioning heart valves.
