Dr Sahrai Saeed MD, PhD, FESC is a specialist in internal medicine and cardiology. Currently he is a consultant cardiologist at the Department of Heart Disease, Haukeland university Hospital Bergen, Western Norway.

He has a specialist interest in monitoring and managing patients with heart valve disease, particular aortic stenosis. He runs also a specialist clinic twice a week for patients with known or suspected coronary heart disease and performing stress and perfusion echo, as well as low-dose dobutamine stress echocardiography for aortic stenosis patients. His research interest also include hypertension and exercise hemodynamics in patients with valvular heart disease. Dr Saeed has also been involved in brain-heart research at Haukeland University Hospital and doing advanced transesophageal echocardiography and assessment of arterial stiffness for patients with ischemic stroke, in particular cryptogenic.

Dr Saeed has been collaborating with our valve study group over the past 4 years with a particular emphasis on the natural history of heart valve disease and the evaluation of symptoms using physiological testing.
